Rhinoceros has undergone a huge evolution in version 7, particularly with the incorporation of an extensive suite of subdivision modeling (SubD) tools, which allow to model and edit complex shapes with great ease. This long and comprehensive book (809 pages in Kindle) is written in Portuguese and begins with an extensive introductory chapter to the program, which is intended to constitute a reference that the reader can refer to later, followed by chapters of practical modeling exercises. The exercises are divided into two large groups: modeling using classic NURBS tools and modeling based on the new SubD tools. These two groups of exercises are not completely watertight, because even when using SubD tools, it is almost always necessary to complement them through classic tools.
While the book focuses on 3D modeling of objects, it also includes an introduction on obtaining photorealistic images (renders) from them using the available tools in Rhinoceros, as well as importing and modifying models created in other CAD programs. Most of the proposed exercises are based on reference images, on which the models are built, being available for download through a link presented in the text. The book was written based on the Windows version of Rhinoceros, but it can also be used by Mac users.
