PlanFinder is a software plugin for Rhino and Grasshopper and is designed to accelerate the design of floor plans of apartments. The trial version comes with a 30-day free period, no credit card required.
With Fit, you can fit existing plans to your input. Give the outer walls and desired entrance, and PlanFinder looks for a plan in the database that fits the input well. The database exists out of hundreds of plans, mostly coming from European countries.
With Generate, you can generate a residential floor plan given the outer walls, facade, and desired entrance. PlanFinders' AI will try to come up with plans which follow your desired room counts.
With Furnish, you can get furniture ideas for an unfurnished plan. PlanFinder automatically suggests room functions, door placement, and furniture placement, and you can always override the suggestions.

Installation instructions PlanFinder for Rhino:
- Unzip the PlanFinder.zip package
- Run the planfinder.rhi installer, found at PlanFinder/PlanFinderRhino
- Restart Rhino
Installation instructions PlanFinder for Grasshopper3D:
- Right-click on the PlanFinder.zip, go to Properties -> Unblock -> Apply
- Unzip the PlanFinder.zip package
- Open Grasshopper
- Go to File->Special Folders->Components Folder
- Move the entire PlanFinderGH folder into the components folder
- Start Rhino
- Run the "GrasshopperDeveloperSettings" command in Rhino and turn off "Memory load *.GHA assemblies using COFF byte arrays
