This plugin is a set of 123 components at the moments. It is a Work In Progress (WIP), that means that some components can change a bit. A part of these components were developed in order to help people on the Grasshopper forums (http://grasshopper3d.com and https://discourse.mcneel.com) and the others are Laurent Delrieu personal projects.

You will find tools to:

  • Draw Spirals
  • Make perfect Maze on a mesh
  • Generate single line path useful for 3d printing
  • Wordle (random placement of objects on a 2D object)
  • Mesh Iso Splitting
  • Gilbert Tessellation (2D and 3D)
  • Differents type of reaction
    • Directional Reaction diffusion
    • Belousov-zhabotinsky reaction
    • SnowFlake growth

Many new tools will be added in the next months. But first bugs must me treated. Components could also change a bit.

0.7 version 30/03/2023 : SnowFlake, Import Image color on faces, Color Dual Mesh, helix/spiral on curve, Saw function,Square function, ZigZag function, Send Me an Email for a licence.

0.8 version : 06/04/2023 : Egg generators, Object stable position on plane, 3d convex hull for curve, brep, curve divide multiple distances, Tool for Mesh Cage Morph, Quad Mesh Stripper (licence level 1), 

0.9 version : 03/05/2023 : Loxodrome, Loxodrome Piped, Color Mesh Weights, Mesh Remove Color, Spiral4D, Smoothing Weights on Mesh(2 components) Extrude sheets, with Licence level 1 Mesh Reaction Diffusion Extended, Gilbert Tesselation fans, Subdivide Mesh and Weights,  Region Slits Ext

Most of the components do not require a licence, so are free to use

Components with a yellow square will need a licence. These components are present and partially work.

  • Catmull Clark Subdivision (only the weights subdivisions is affected by the licence)

If you want a licence, send we an email with the UserName you have on the computer you use. You can have access to this information with the component "Nautilus Licence Information". A level 1 licence is 50 € for 2 years, 100 € for 10 years. 

Components with a purple square are not available.

Installation :

The ZIP file contains 7 files that must be on the same folder "C:\Users\USerName\AppData\Roaming\Grasshopper\Libraries"

  • LDLIB.dll   => Main library that you can access, with some restrictions if you have not the good licence
  • Nautilus.gha => Grasshopper library
  • NautilusPublicKey.xml => public KEY, don't modify this file
  • NautilusLicencesUserName.xml  (Not present if you have no licence)
  • Plankton.dll
  • PlanktonGH.dll
  • Clipper2.dll (not yet used)
