This is the first release of my plug-in to create kitchen cabinets and boxes.
This plug-in is not intended as a design tool but it's only for rendering and illustration.
The plug-in it's a Python script with a graphics user interface where put dimensions.
The plug-in it's able to create Kitchen cabinets with all the detail needed for a rendering like different tichkness for the top and the foot and doors.
I have tested this project, but it is the first release and it might contain still bugs. Please use it "as is", it does not come with warranties. I spent a lot of time developing the logic and implementing it, please give credit where credit is due.
To install:
- unzip the file into a directory
- drag the KitchenCreator.rui file into the Rhino windows
Now you have the icon and pressing it you will able to create your own kitchen in a second.
PAY ATTENTION: DO NOT CHANGE THE KC ICON TO A DIFFERENT TOOLBAR. IF YOU DO THIS KC STOP TO WORKS. THIS IS HOW WE HANDLE THE KC LIBRARIES. WE WILL TRY TO FIXIT.
How to draw your kitchen:
- Set-up the dimension
- press the OK button
- Draw a line or polilyne and get the result.
The plug-in it will draw all the "wooden" part of a kitchen. The plug.in cannot draw household appliances like cooktop, oven, microwave nor sink.
