GSDesign is what I call a force-flow design tool. It allows flexible early design based on 2D Graphic Statics. The plugin was developed as part my Master's thesis Building Engineering at the TU Delft, and has shown value as a design tool as well as an educational because of the way it intuitively shows the internal forces and allows quick design.

For a basic explanation of the functionality of the tool I refer to the manual contained in the "GSDesign manual and tutorial" download. For a more in depth view you should check out chapters 4.2 and 5 of my thesis (click website).

The tool is functional but has flaws and remains a work in progress. If you are interested and have more spare time than I do, please check out the code on github (link in the TU Delft repository page (click website)) and extend the functionality.
