AirCoDe: Aircraft Conceptual Design is a Rhino plugin developed to streamline aircraft modeling.
The Free version includes:
Airfoil Component: Easily create wings of any shape, even non-trapezoidal. Simply add a profile for each wing section. It’s intuitive and fun to use.
Wing Component: Generate any trapezoidal wing configuration by connecting two Airfoil components.
Center of Gravity Components: Tools for analyzing and calculating the aircraft's center of gravity.
The Airfoil component supports both .dat files with points that define the upper and lower surfaces from the leading to the trailing edge, and .dat files that define the wing from the trailing edge, circling the entire profile back to the trailing edge. Just input either type, and it will generate an airfoil.
To use the Airfoil component, first create a local folder and insert the .dat profiles. These can be downloaded from specialized sources like UIUC Airfoil Coordinates Database. If you want to automatically generate a trapezoidal wing, just follow the setup shown in the attached image.
