VisualARQ
by F.Salla
VisualARQ adds architectural tools to Rhino, and speeds up the process of modeling an architecural project in 2D and 3D.
Get all project document information (plans, sections, elevations) and quantification (surfaces, dimensions, components, quantities) from the 3D model automatically.
VisualARQ has a library set of parametric architectural objects (walls, windows, doors, stairs...) customizable and editable at any time.
- See some of the VisualARQ main features through our videos.
- See the step-by-step video tutorial guide for architectural modeling with Rhino and VisualARQ here.

I can't see the videos.Please mail me a document,thank you.
Hi,
You can watch all VisualARQ videos on VisualARQ’s YouTube channel:
http://www.youtube.com/user/VisualARQ
I guess you can't see the videos on VisualARQ's website due to you are using an old version of your internet browser (Firefox likely). Try to update it, just in case.
That is so useful! Thanks!!
i have a problem, when i install VisulaArq a sign appears: "this version of visualarq has expired" what can i do?
Hi,
If your evaluation version has expired you have 3 options to keep on using VisualARQ:
1. Wait for the next version release. You will get 15 additional days to test it. (next VisualARQ 1.7 version is about to be released)
2. Write to visualarq@asuni.com and ask for an extension of your trial version.
3. Buy the product.
Would be possible to have sdk documentation to script it???
Hi. I was using this plug in. Is fantastic. but i have one doubt. The elevation marks doesn't show anymore uin my front view. Is this some kind of bug?
Hi Inubo,
Make sure you have the option to display the VisualARQ elevation marks on. You can check that out in Rhino options > VisualARQ > Display > "Show floor marks in elevation views".
Cheers,
Cool!
Thanks!
Cant believe i modeled an entire portfolio project without this plugin! Documentation will be beautiful thanks to you guys, how long is the license good for?
Hi Chezmac,
The VisualARQ licenses policy is the same as Rhino's. The evaluation version lasts for 30 days, plus 15 additional days every time there is a new version release.
Feel free to write to visualarq@asuni.com for more information or requests.
I am interested in using Grasshopper to generate VisualArq components. Is this possible? Is there a VisualArq plug-in for GH? Is there a VisualArq API that could be called from a GH script component?
Hi Deisengard,
There is a new add-on for Grasshopper to create VisualARQ object from Grasshopper. You can download it from here: http://www.food4rhino.com/project/visualarq-grasshopper-components.

Hi Deisengard,
There is some development going on about the integration of Grasshoppper with VisualARQ, but still nothing to test.
I will let you know when there is any new about that.
Best,
Maybe using yktools component rhcommand.
It allows typing inside a gh component the command you would type on rhino console.
GREAT THING!!!
Hi Serg,
You can assign materials to windows and to each individual component from the window style dialog, selecting the component and editing its material from the attributes tab.
The glass component of windows has the option to get the material "by layer" by default. That's why that even you assigned a material to the whole window, the glass takes the material that the "glass" layer has. You can also change that from the attributes tab, after selecting the glass component in the window styles dialog box.
There is a post at VisualARQ's Tips&Tricks page that may give some help about that subject: http://www.visualarq.com/support/tips/3998/
thank you guys so much!!
yep, really good, very helpfull! that's what I missed in rhino! :-)
Great plug !!!!!!!
