karamba

karamba is an interactive, parametric finite element program. It lets you analyze the response of 3-dimensional beam and shell structures under arbitrary loads.

karamba is being developed by Clemens Preisinger in cooperation with Bollinger-Grohmann-Schneider ZTGmbH Vienna.

Use Karamba (64bit) with Rhino5-64bit and Karamba (32bit) with Rhino5-32bit. Karamba 1.0.5 does not run under Rhino 4.

Karamba 1.0.5 installs itself to Grasshopper's "Components Folder".

Comments

I use Karamba.Algorithms.Analyze to Analyze Shell model, if I asign too much Mesh face. It often throw this exception:

"1. Singular Stiffness-matrix: Can not solve static system.
Make sure that boundary conditions are set so that the structure can not move in rigid body modes.
When you analyze a flat shell structure lock the rotation perpendicular to the plate in at least one node.
Use the 'Eigen Modes'-component and activate the display of local coordinate axes: The first eigenmode will be the rigid body motion."

If i want to purchasing a student version,What shall i do for the first: pay 30€ for it at www.karamba3d.com/downloads/,or send E-mail to  info@karamba3d.com with my student ID and machine ID ? And what shall I do beyond that?

In case you want to pay via PayPal do this first and then send me your scanned student ID and machine ID file. If you send me the email from your university account the student ID is not necessary. I will send back the license file.

When you want to pay via bank transfer send me your machine ID file first and you will get the license file together with an invoice.

add karamba to grasshopper . it doesn't work.....idon't why....
