Element is a mesh geometry plugin for Grasshopper, enabling mesh creation, analysis, transformation, subdivision, and smoothing. Element* provides access to mesh topology data using the Plankton half-edge data structure for polygon meshes.

Version 1.0 makes use of the Plankton halfedge mesh library by Daniel Piker and Will Pearson, released under the terms of the LGPL license (https://github.com/meshmash/Plankton)

Element* Grasshopper plugin contains the following features:

  • Analysis - Components for analysing mesh topology
  • Data - Components providing access to mesh half-edge data
  • Primitives - Components for the creation of platonic solids
  • Smoothing - Mesh Smoothing components
  • Subdivisions - A series of mesh subdivision components
  • Transform - Components for local operations on meshes
  • Utility - A series of handy components used for various operations
  • Uniform & Per Vertex Data Operations
